Large Print To Do List: Free Printable Checklist

This free large print to do list has a big checkbox beside each wide line, so you can write a task and tick it off when it is done. Choose 18, 24 or 28 point, and print. A fresh page each morning keeps the list short.

How do I use a large print to do list?

Write the date on the line at the top. Put one task on each line, in a few words, and tick the box when the task is finished. Use a thick dark pen, and press a bold tick or cross, so you can see it from across the room.

The boxes are large on purpose. A big target is easier to see and easier to tick with a shaky hand or a soft pencil. The type follows the guidelines of the American Printing House for the Blind, explained in what is large print.

How can I split a busy day into a short list?

A short list gets finished. Try this order:

Part of the day Example
Morning Take medicines, phone the pharmacy
Afternoon Post the letter, water the plants
Evening Set out tomorrow's clothes

Put the task you least want to do first. If a line does not fit in a few words, split it in two. When a task carries over, write it on tomorrow's page rather than squeezing it onto today's.

Where should I keep the list?

Keep it where you will pass it. The kitchen table, the fridge door, or a clipboard by the chair are all good spots. Print a week of pages at once and clip them together, with the top page always today's.

Dates and appointments belong on a wall calendar such as the large print calendar 2027, while shopping goes on the large print grocery list and bills go in the large print bill log, one of the large print money forms. Both live alongside this page under large print lists. If you would rather write a longer note, use large print lined paper.
