How do I print a large print address book?
Pick the type size and paper, download the PDF, and print as many pages as you need. At 18 point on Letter or A4 four entries fit on each page, so a book of fifty contacts is about thirteen sheets. At 28 point only two fit, and on 11 x 17 paper up to seven at 18 point. Put the sheets in a binder in alphabetical order, or in a folder with a colored sheet for each letter.
Use a thick dark pen and write in capital letters. Wide strokes are easier for many people with low vision to see than thin ones. If writing the entries is difficult, ask a family member to fill them in with you, and read each one back aloud to check it.
What should each entry hold?
Keep the entry short enough to read at a glance. Each block has four lines, and this is how to use them.

There is no printed line for an email address or a birthday, so squeeze an email into the margin in capitals if you need one. Birthdays are worth copying onto a wall calendar. The large print calendar 2027 has a big square for each day, so a birthday or card date is easy to spot.
How do I keep an address book easy to read?
Print fresh pages instead of crowding an old one. When someone moves, cross out the old address with one bold line, and rewrite it on a new sheet. Keep the book in the same place and let someone you trust have a copy in case of an emergency.
