What is large print graph paper?
Ordinary graph paper has fine, pale lines with squares of a quarter inch or less. For a reader with low vision, those lines can vanish. This page turns the grid up: thick, dark lines and squares big enough to write a whole number, a letter or a small drawing in each one.
The American Printing House for the Blind says that gray should not be used for people with low vision, and recommends solid black on white, so the grid is printed in pure black. A cream paper option is there if white glare bothers you. See what is large print for the reasons.
On US Letter paper with one inch margins, a grid of 1 inch squares fits six across and nine down, and A4 gives the same count. On 11 x 17 inch paper you get nine across and fifteen down, and the whole sheet can be pinned to a wall or a table.
What can I use 1 inch graph paper for?
Big squares suit a lot of jobs that fine grids make hard.

Use a thick felt-tip or a soft, dark pencil. A wide line can be seen much more easily than a thin one.
How do I print and use it?
Choose your paper size, pick cream or white, and download the PDF. Print at 100 percent, not "fit to page", so the squares stay a full inch. Measure one square with a ruler after the first print to be sure.
If a teacher or helper is setting a task, they can mark the axes in bold pen after printing. To work with lines of writing instead of squares, use large print lined paper.
