How do I use the hints and answer key?

Use every letter once, including repeated letters. The hint narrows down the meaning: DERAB can make BREAD or BEARD, but the hint about a loaf points to BREAD. Write the answer on the line under the hint.

Check your word against the numbered answer key. Another arrangement can be a real word without matching the hint. To hand out questions without answers, clear Include a separate answer key before downloading.

Can I print the word scramble in larger type?

Choose 18, 24 or 28 pt for the scrambled letters and answer key. The hints stay at 18 pt. Larger type may put fewer questions on a page, so check the page count in the preview before downloading. Every question keeps its hint and writing line together.

Letter is the starting paper size; A4 and 11 x 17 in are also available. Select the same paper in the print dialog and use Actual size or 100%. The games collection also includes score sheets for dice and card games.
